In the spotlight – Adam Bakos

Adam at the 2026 WeSpark Conference

Since joining the Porter Lab as a volunteer in 2023, Adam has excelled and completed his undergraduate thesis project in 2026. His dedication to research was reflected in a 2025 summer scholarship awarded by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (BTFC). This scholarship supported Adam’s full-time research on brain cancer during the summers of 2025 and 2026. Adam started Medical School at the University of Toronto in August.

BTFC published Adam’s story on their website this month. To read the full story, click Driven by purpose.
